Of course the length of time that you are on holiday will affect the amount of clothes and items that you need to pack to take with you. However for a standard, two week holiday in the sun many of us end up packing too much. This can mean extra charge at the airport for excess luggage or even just extra hassle when traveling around. The reason many of us pack too much is that we automatically assume that for a 2 week holiday we need 14 day time out fits, 14 night time outfits and some beach wear. However truth is that on a summer beach holiday most of the time we will spend it on the beach. This means that for a majority of the time you probably live in your bikini, a pair of shorts and some flip flops. Even allowing for some days wearing more you have cut down from 14 day timeout fits and some beach wear to some bikinis, a few shorts and a couple of t shirts. The likely hood is as well that you will have some chilled out evening’s, maybe a few drinks on the balcony or a stroll on the beach. You don’t need to get dressed up to the nines to do that! Even if you do go out most nights you will always have your favourite jeans or skirt etc and probably wear those more than once. Mixing and matching a few key items is much easier than packing 14 different outfits. Don’t forget that the fewer clothes you take with you, the more room you have in your suitcase to bring things back ;)
